AShareApp ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.

            Key Privacy Principle: Your files and photos are transferred directly over your local WiFi network and are never uploaded to our servers or stored externally.
        

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

Photos and Media: When you choose to share photos, you grant temporary access to selected images from your photo library. These are only used for local network transfer.
Files: When you share files, you select specific documents that are served temporarily over your local network.

Information Collected Automatically

WiFi Network Information: We access your local WiFi IP address to establish peer-to-peer connections on your network. This information never leaves your device except to facilitate direct connections with other devices on the same network.
Device Connectivity Status: We monitor whether you're connected to WiFi to enable or disable certain features.

Third-Party Advertising

AShareApp uses Appodeal, a third-party advertising platform, to display ads. Appodeal and its advertising partners may collect:

Device identifiers (IDFA - Identifier for Advertisers)
IP address
Ad interaction data
General location data (country/region level)
Device type and operating system version

This data is used to show personalized ads and measure ad performance. You can limit ad tracking in your iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

How We Use Information

File Transfer: To enable direct file and photo sharing between devices on your local network
QR Code Connection: To establish secure peer-to-peer connections via QR code scanning
Network Detection: To verify WiFi connectivity and enable appropriate features
Advertising: To display relevant ads and support the free version of the app

Data Storage and Security

Local Processing: All file transfers occur directly between devices on your local network. No files are uploaded to external servers.
Temporary Storage: Received files are temporarily stored on your device until you choose to save or open them.
No Cloud Storage: We do not store, backup, or have access to your shared content on any remote servers.
Connection Handshake: A minimal handshake (device ID and local IP) is sent to ashare.link only to facilitate QR code-based connections. This data is not permanently stored.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except:

Advertising Partners: Appodeal and its ad network partners receive the data described in the "Third-Party Advertising" section above.
Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.

Your Privacy Rights

Limit Ad Tracking: You can disable ad personalization in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
Photo Access: You can revoke photo library access in iOS Settings → AShareApp → Photos
Location Access: You can disable location access (used only for WiFi network detection) in iOS Settings → AShareApp → Location
Delete App Data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data

Children's Privacy

AShareApp is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Third-Party Links and Services

The app may contain links to external websites (e.g., ashare.link for connection handshakes). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Permissions Required

AShareApp requests the following iOS permissions:

Photo Library Access: To select and share photos
Camera Access: To scan QR codes for connection establishment
Local Network Access: To discover and connect with devices on your WiFi network
Location When In Use: Required by iOS to access WiFi network information (your precise location is never accessed or stored)

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

Data Retention

Files are only temporarily served while the sharing session is active
No file content is retained after the session ends
Connection logs are not stored permanently
Advertising data retention is governed by Appodeal's privacy policy

International Users

AShareApp operates over local WiFi networks. Your data does not leave your local network except for the minimal connection handshake and advertising-related data described above.
